Bargisen Nina

Nina Bargisen is Network strategy and Partner Engagement Manager for Netflix, responsible for EMEA. In this role which is part of the Open Connect Team, she works with ISPs and IXPs to deliver Netflix traffic in the best way possible for the members and for the ISPs.
Netflix is the world's leading internet entertainment service with over 117 million members in over 190 countries enjoying more than 140 million hours of TV shows and movies per day, including original series, documentaries and feature films. Members can watch as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, on nearly any internet-connected screen. Members can play, pause and resume watching, all without commercials or commitments.

Previously Nina worked as Network Planner and Peering Coordinator for TDC, the Danish incumbent.
Nina has been active in the Internet Community for more than a decade and has among other things served on the NANOG program committee, the LINX Board of directors and is currently Working Co-Chair for the MAT-WG at RIPE."

I am a Technical Marketing Engineer in the Cisco Service Provider Network Systems and Architecture group, where we are focused on router hardware, the software that powers them, and how to build efficient networks. I have been with Cisco for about one year and I am primarily focused on network architecture for peering and core networks, and the automation to better operate them. Previous to Cisco, I spent over 20 years working for service providers in a variety of engineering and architecture roles.

Rebecca is the Events Coordinator at Euro-IX, since 2015. Her role involves organising and coordinating forums alongside Euro-IX member hosts in Europe and assisting in the operational activities at Euro-IX. Rebecca holds an MA in International Relations and Globalisation, and has extensive international experience in event and project management for universities and charities.

Davidson Andy

Davidson Andy

Andy Davidson is the CTO of Asteroid International BV, an organisation who operate Internet Exchange Points as a service. For the last decade, he has worked both as a peering manager and Internet exchange operator.

During this time, he has negotiated several thousand peering sessions and helped to build a number of high-profile IXPs. He is an experienced architect of stable and highly available Internet networks, e-commerce platforms, and service provider products. Andy has served in numerous leadership positions and industry boards, including roles as Director of the London Access Point (Lonap), Chair of IXLeeds, council member of NAPAfrica, and board member of the European Internet Exchange Association (Euro-IX).

Rene Duhr is a Senior Account Manager with Interxion in Austria. Over the last two years Rene has tremendously contributed to the success and expansion of the carrier hub in Interxion Vienna through the acquisition of strategic carriers in the CEE region.
Rene has been engaged over the last 25 years in business and management roles in several industries such as Telecom, IT, IT outsourcing and Carrier in different countries. He could bring his rich sales experience of the different industries to the Connectivity and Colocation business. He was involved in major carrier expansion projects in Vienna and with his team he could provide a fruitful corporation with the international carriers.

In 2013 Zuzana joined the Czech National team CSIRT.CZ, which is operated by the CZ.NIC association. As a team representative she is working on development of national and international collaboration with members of the security community. Among her other duties are educational activities within given constituency, development of current services and PR activities related to operation of team CSIRT.CZ. She is member of Steering Committee in TF-CSIRT since September 2016.

Tomas Hlavacek works for CZ.NIC as a R&D programmer. He contributes to several Open Source projects both outside and within CZ.NIC and his focus is Internet routing, measurements and statistics.

Milko Ilari is Head of International Business & Strategy at Enter, a leading ISP focused on providing network connectivity, cloud and data center solutions throughout Europe, the U.S. and Asia-Pacific.
He has been working in the Telecom industry since 2002 when he joined Enter as Network and Carrier Relations Manager. Today he is responsible for Enter's International expansion and growth, providing customers with cost-effective, reliable interconnection opportunities. In January 2018 he announced the launch of a Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) service based on Enter's national and international network infrastructure. The solution is purpose-built to serve both enterprise and carrier customers.

Christian has been working in the IT for more than 25 years now. After being responsible for the capital office of a german IT banking company he moved on to build up a city carrier network for a large german real estate holder GSG Berlin S.A. During this role, he got in contact with the Berlin based BCIX community and quickly took on a role on the board of BCIX as a CTO. Last year Christian changed to a managing director of the BCIX Management GmbH. The BCIX Management GmbH is the exchange point operating company owned by the BCIX membership association.

Mirjam Kuhne is the Senior Community Builder at the RIPE NCC, a role she?s held since 2009. She collaborates with various technical, security and academic peers within her extensive professional network to strengthen the Internet community within the RIPE NCC?s service region.

Mirjam also maintains and curates RIPE Labs, a collaborative platform that supports innovative ideas and tools for the Internet.

Jens Moeller is Director Carrier Relations Management at e-shelter. He commenced with e-shelter in October 2011. Jens has an extensive amount of experience in International Sales having worked for euNetworks, Vanco, Sita S.C., Colt Telecom and Deutsche Telekom AG based in Germany, and as an independent Consultant in Madrid, Spain. Jens holds an Electrical Engineering Degree which he obtained in Germany and has over 20 years experiences working in the telecommunication and data center Industry globally.

Arnold Nipper is Chief Technology Evangelist (CTE) and Co-Founder of DE-CIX. Before that he served as DE-CIX? CTO/COO for more than 15 years. Since 12/2008 Arnold is involved in PeeringDB and since PeeringDB being an association he is Director of PeeringDB as well. Until 11/2016 Arnold was also Director of Euro-IX

Arnold Nipper is one of the Internet pioneers in Germany and has almost 30
years work experience. He was instrumental in setting up one of the first
commercial ISP in Germany, was involved in setting up the DE-NIC and
co-founded RIPE in 1989.

Christian Panigl has been involved in the development and operation of the Austrian research network ACOnet (www.ACO.net) since 1986, starting at the University of Technology in Vienna, in the context of RARE and COSINE. In 1992, the whole ACOnet team and their responsibilities moved to the University of Vienna, joining forces with other international networking activities. Christian is in charge of the Vienna Internet eXchange (www.VIX.at) since its creation in 1996 and was also a founding member of the executive board of the Euro-IX.net association from 2001 to 2008. He has been formally leading the ACOnet & Vienna Internet eXchange division at the University of Vienna since 2008.

Sascha Schumann is Founder, CEO and Lead Architect of Myra Security GmbH. Since 1996, Sascha Schumann has contributed to numerous open source projects such as the Apache Web Server and PHP. For Myra Security, an anti-DDoS provider, he developed high-performance Linux-based filter machines which can handle up to 200Mpps each (200 Million packets per second) - on off-the-shelf hardware. At Myra, Sascha also is involved in securing the ever-expanding Myra network that is already spanning multiple continents.

Martin Semrad has been involved in the Internet business since the year 1996. In 2000 he founded the company NETWAY.CZ, providing housing services and wireless internet access. His company became the member of NIX.CZ in 2004. He is also the founder and CEO of i-registry, .co.cz domain registry.

In 2008 he was elected as the member of the Supervisory Board of NIX.CZ (the largest Neutral Internet eXchange in the Czech Republic) and in 2010 he became the Director of NIX.CZ where he is applying his rich experience from the Internet environment.

CEE Peering Days is an international conference of experts directed at network engineers, peering coordinators, internet providers, cloud administrators and data centre operators in the Central and Eastern European Region.

Since 2013 the conference regularly attracts around 200 participants and has been continuously supported by sponsors from the Telecommunication and IT community from across Europe.

The programme combines technical workshops with professional presentations and offers plenty of time and space for social networking and bilateral talks.

The conference in 2018 is planned as a two-day event at the Hotel NH nhow Berlin and will include a social evening in the centre of Berlin on 6th March.

The conference will be hosted by NIX.CZ, VIX.at and BIX.hu. This year with local support from BCIX.
